Daddy Daughter Time

Ben and Kylee had lots of fun while I was swimming tonight. She sure loves her Daddy!!

When I came home she was in her room getting fed. She really likes when Ben feeds her from a bottle. I just can't get enough of these two!!!


Kylee was even holding the bottle up all by herself, but of course as soon as I had the camera in hand she decided she was going to be a stinker and stop doing it.

Just Keep Swimming, Swimming, Swimming!

I just got back from swimming at the pool and it felt awesome! I really am starting to get into it. Today I swam 1,500 yards. Not too bad for my 4th time in the pool! Hopefully swimming this regularly will make my race swim of 750 yards a breeze. I've definately developed a new motto I borrowed from the dear Dory while I swim. I catch myself saying it in my head when it's getting tough.

Fashion Show

Kylee and I went shopping last week on a hunt for some cute little swimsuits. We were looking for something that was 2 pieces to make it easier to change her diaper, but it also needed to not show a lot of skin since she can't wear sunscreen yet and I figured it can't hurt to start off being modest. We found 2 ADORABLE swimsuits and even a sunhat. The hat is a little big right now even being an XS, but that just means she'll be able to wear it longer.


Here's the first swimsuit. It's a cute little tankini that we'll use mostly for indoor pool swimming. I'm sure it'll get used outside once we can use sunscreen too.

And here's the other one. I found this cute little rashguard two piece for when we're boating and swimming outdoors so her back and shoulders stay hidden from the sun.

Giggle Giggle!!

We got Kylee laughing for the second time today. It was hard for me to stop, but I know being tickled is only fun for so long. We got it on video with our video camera, but I'm not sure how to upload those onto the computer. I'll have to figure it out so everyone can see. Anyway, YAY! More laughs!!

Need I Say More?!

I Just Knew It!

This is the very first outfit I ever bought for Kylee, even before we knew she was a girl. We had only known I was pregnant for a month or so and we went up to Park City. I wanted to buy something so bad, but didn't know if I should get pink or blue. I found one cute girl outfit and one cute boy outfit. I got up to the register and the boy one was more than I wanted to pay so I ended up just getting the girl one. I must have known already that we wouldn't need the boy outfit. This outfit just fits her so well and she looks adorable in it. I love my Smiley Kylee!!

My Little Talker

Kylee is getting to be quite the little talker! It's so fun to have her react to things we say and do. She really is becoming a lot more alert and aware of everything around her. I love when she smiles back and has her own little conversations with me.

Love This Girl!

I just think these two pictures are funny. Kylee can pull some good faces. In the first one she looks sad or about to cry and in the second one she looks terrified. Cracks me up!

Here she is playing with her Daddy. As you can tell she just adores him.

She just started sucking on her hands and loves it. It's super loud and super cute, not to mention super slobbery!

Oh That's What They Do!

Kylee has figured out her hands are good for more than just being sucked on. She started playing with the little bee on her chair for the first time the other day. Usually she just looks at toys in front of her and kicks her feet, but now she touches them and tries to grab on and pull them toward her. It's so fun to watch her grow and learn. I'm going to have to get her one of those toy bars for her carseat. That will make car rides much more interesting!

Finally!

Well, after weeks of working on it Kylee laughed for the first time today! It was the cutest thing ever! After church Ben and I were playing with her on the couch. He laid her across his lap and I pulled up her dress and did a great big blowfart on her belly. The first couple times she just smiled real big at me and then she started laughing! They aren't big belly laughs quite yet, but laughs none the less! One time she was laughing and must have started to spit up at the same time because she shot milk out her nose. That was our signal it was time to take a break. Don't worry, I'll see if she'll do more laughing tomorrow and get it on video. So much fun!!!

I Love My Life!

I just have to say that I am so lucky to get to stay home with my little angel. I am so grateful that Ben works so hard to make it possible. I have so much fun just playing with her and watching her grow every day.

Kylee Bunny!

So the other day I got done changing Kylee and decided to see what she'd look like with her pants on her head. Needless to say she looks adorable! Her little chubby legs were just hangin' out and she thought it was pretty funny!

Splish Splash!

Easter!

We had a really fun easter weekend. Saturday we went to my parent's house and dyed eggs with a few of my sisters and their kids. After that we did more eggs with Ben's family and then joined in on the annual Moolah Easter Egg Hunt. Ben and I did pretty good and got away with $29 (one $10, one $5, and fourteen $1). The egg toss went like usual, I ended up wearing a lot of eggs! Sunday we went to church and Kylee looked so darling in her little easter dress. When church got out we headed up to my parent's and had easter dinner with the family followed by an easter egg hunt. A pretty fun filled weekend if you ask me!!

New Discovery!

Kylee has found her tongue! Better yet she learned that it does what she wants it to. She's started sticking her tongue out at me, especially when she's laying down. Her nose has been pretty runny lately so when I de-gunk it with the bulby thing she sticks her tongue out the whole time. It must tickle or something. She also sits and licks my shoulder when I hold her until it's good and wet and then sucks on the fabric. It's so funny and it tickles when she's licking it. She's so much fun, finding new things in her world every day!!

Bad Dream

Ky fell asleep on my chest yesterday and after a half hour or so she started whimpering and crying in her sleep. She even threw in some snorting. She must have had a bad dream or something. It was so sad, but yet so cute at the same time.

This and That

I got a little behind posting for the last few weeks, so I thought I'd fill in the gap with some pictures of things we did.


Kylee and I played while Ben was at work one day and took lots of cute pictures. These were some of my favorite ones. What a cute little model I had!

Ben found a new way to hold Kylee. She happens to like it too. Mostly she just holds really still. I'm sure she's just trying to figure out why she's so stinkin' high!

We watched a movie and Kylee must not have been too interested. She just cuddled right into her Daddy and fell asleep.

Kylee got to hang out in her new Bumbo while we ate breakfast before conference. Doesn't she look so cute?!

We met up with my family for lunch on my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday mom!! My salad at Costa Vida was YUMMY!

And last but not least we snapped some super cute pictures of Kylee at bath time last night. She just loves her baths!

Holy Cow, THREE MONTHS OLD!

Yep, she's 3 months old already! It's incredible how fast time flies. She's smiling more and more and we're working really hard on that first laugh. We almost had it the other day. Ben was holding her and I would put my hand infront of her face and say "BOO!". After I moved my hand she'd smile right back really big. You could tell she knew something was supposto follow, but no laugh! Oh well, we must be getting pretty close!



She has started sitting up when she is held in too much of a lying down position, almost like doing mini-crunches. I went to the store and bought her a Bumbo. I fought the urge to buy the pink one and came home with the purple. It'll do her some good to have a different color other than pink for once. She LOVES it! She'll sit and just hang out in it while I eat. If you ask Ben he'll tell you it's her favorite chair to watch the Outdoor channel with him in. Silly Daddy!
