My Little Pro

This last week Kylee got to go to the dentist for the first time. She has always loved the doctor and the dentist was the same way. She was a perfect little patient and cooperated the whole time. She didn't have any cavities, but he did say her 2 year molars are coming in and that we should see if we can get her to stop sucking her thumb so there's no crowding. Um yeah, she sucks it ALL THE TIME. This one is going to be tricky.

She got to pick a cool new toothbrush that has a suction cup at the bottom to stick on the counter. She loves that it does that. They also let her wear some sweet sunglasses so the exam light wouldn't be too bright.

Okay, so this was the CUTEST dentist/doctor office I have ever been to. Kylee walked in and couldn't move she was taking it all in. She walked around forever checking it all out. They walls were painted like we were in the ocean and there were big paper machet like fish hanging from the ceiling with seaweed. Such a fun place for kids. I totally recommend Kaysville Pediatric Dentistry if you live close by. The staff was awesome!!! Don't worry, I'm just the creeper taking pictures with my phone while other people are in the waiting room.

They had faux rock walls with a built in fish tank and a tv mounted in it.

Little Photographer

Kylee LOVES to take pictures with my little Cannon Powershot camera that I keep in my diaper bag. She is getting really good at taking pictures with it. I love to let her just have at it and then later see what she took pictures of. Here are some of the most recent ones.

Birthday Breakfast

We always go to Marketstreet Grill in Downtown when there's a birthday. You'd think the food is pricey, but it's actually cheaper than Denny's or IHOP and is SO GOOD. Anyway, Ben's birthday was August 4th, but we ended up going towards the end of the month. Here's my smokin' husband and beautiful princess.

They have the most AMAZING fresh squeezed orange juice. Like, nothing you have ever had. It's also $4 for a small glass so you have to savor every sip. Kylee got her very own kid cup full of it and as soon as she tasted it I don't think she came up for air for quite a while.

Staying Cool

Ben let Ky use the hose one hot day and she didn't waste any time soaking herself to the bone. Of course she had to drink it too!

I actually don't know how her clothes stayed on. She was so drinched.



I don't know how, but she managed to keep a small circle on her bum dry. Pretty talented!

All Boy

My little guy is all boy. He grunts, especially when he's stretching while trying to wake up. It's a whole body, scrunch faced, turn red grunt/stretch. When he grunts he farts, multiple times. It always makes Kylee giggle followed with an accusing, "Colton!!" Don't worry, he'll love me one day for sharing that :). He is a REALLY noisy eater too. Let's just say I couldn't feed him somewhere outside of the house inconspicuously. Well, or in the house for that matter. To say he snores is an understatement. Looking at him sleeping so peacefully in these pictures you'd never know it. It's actually so loud that Ben hasn't slept in our room where Colton has been for the last 5 weeks but 4 or 5 times. I on the other hand think it's darling and would rather hear him snoring instead of nothing at all and be checking to see if he was still breathing all night. Must be the mommy in me.
I could watch him sleep all day. So precious!
I love the little smile he does at the beginning of this video. The snoring is actually one of the more quiet times. It can get loud!!

1 Month

Here's my smiley little buddy on his one month birthday a week ago (I know, I'm slacking). Isn't he a doll?! This is his crooked kind of half smile. A couple days later he actually started to consciously smile when we talk to him. So darling!! Let's you know you must be doing something right. He doesn't go to the doctor again until the 2nd week of October, but he's around 14 or 15 pounds. Some of his 0-3 month clothes are too small. Yep, that's my boy!! His eyes are really starting to get blue too. Enjoy some darling pictures of my Bubba.

2 Weeks

Here's my little Bubba at 2 weeks. I just love his little kissy lips! Okay, 2 week stats:

9 lbs. 7 oz. (90%)
22.5 inches (95%)

No shots this appointment, but he hated having his heel poked for the blood samples. Poor little guy, I don't blame him. There was a lot of blood on that little card! Anyway, the doctor said he looks healthy and hadn't lost any weight. This is actually about when he grew out of all of the newborn clothes. He's chunking up early just like his sister did :)
