A Little Behind
I got a little behind posting our fun Christmas activities. We made fun Christmas crafts, watched lots of Christmas shows and movies, saw the lights at the park, baked yummy treats, and went to lots of family parties. I have some new posts to finish, but just wanted to say we're still here!

I'm just too excited not to share!
I'm pregnant!! We just found out last sunday and I'll be barely 5 weeks tomorrow. Call it early to share, but I can't even keep birthday presents quiet! We must be meant to have another because I got pregnant the month we started trying. We're so excited and can't wait to meet our new little baby in August! We don't know the official due date since I haven't been to the doctor yet, but I'm pretty sure it will be the 15th. Kylee is going to be the best big sister!! I'm feeling awesome, but man I am hungry ALL THE TIME! I forgot what it is like to suddenly be FAMISHED with no warning! I loved every second I was pregnant with Kylee and am so excited to do it all over again.
My latest project
I have two terry robes in my closet and Kylee always goes in there and rubs them and wants to use them as blankets. I decided since I didn't need two, I would attempt to turn one into a robe for her. I was pretty skeptical as soon as I started cutting it that it would even work out, especially since she was napping and I wouldn't have a model. I totally decided to wing it and see what happened. When she woke up, I tried it on her and it fits PERFECTLY!! I have to say, I am pretty proud of myself!! Especially since I didn't have a pettern! She totally loved it and wore it until it was time for her bath.

December 12th: Frosty The Snowman
December 11th: Christmas Lights
I had found online that Logan does a Gingerbread House Walk down main street every year and thought that would be fun to go to. Ben's parents, Aunt Diane, and brother Zac came up to go to it with us. We went and got dinner first and then headed down to main street. We were driving past the shops looking for a place to park and I only spotted one gingerbread house. We didn't even end up getting out of the car, pretty disapointing. I probably should have checked it out first to see what it was like Ü. Anyway, we ended up driving around Logan for a little bit to look at random lights people had out. It turned out to be a fun night just having them come to visit so not a total bust! (Obviously no pictures since we didn't see anything!)
December 10th: Prep & Landing with Grandpa
December 9th: Christmas Cards/Christmas Shows
We still have TONS of stickers left over from making our poster, so Kylee made Christmas cards for her Grandparents. We listened to Christmas music while she worked on them and she danced around to the Chipmunks Christmas song. They turned out so darling and she did such a good job!

When we were done, we watched Merry Madagascar.

And Kung Fu Pandy Holiday.

December 8th: Shrek the Halls
December 7th: More Christmas Shows!
I have to say, I think I recorded every Christmas show there is!! Since we have so many and most of our big Christmas activities are in the two weeks before Christmas, we've been watching Christmas shows each night. Kylee loves it though so I can't complain. Four of the Christmas shows I recorded were only 5 minutes each so I decided to knock out all of them in one night.
First was Pluto's Christmas Tree. We actually watched this one twice in a row because Ky liked it so much.

Then Donald's Snow Fight. I remember this one from when I was little and loved it!

Lookin' Festive!!
Here's my cute house with the lights on! I put lights up in the windows and you can kind of see the stickers in each one. There are colored lights around the fence, two cute trees by the door, and my beautiful wreath. We were going to put lights up on the roof, but I decided to go easy this year and just do the windows. I think it turned out pretty dang good! I noticed tonight that ours is the only house on the whole street with lights!

Here's a close up of my wonderful wreath. I love the shape of it! It's different than my other circle ones and it covers the window in the door perfectly!

December 4th: Christmas Sticker Poster
I went to the craft store today and bought these fun foam stickers and a foam sheet for tonight's activity. They didn't come in a smaller quantity so we have A LOT left!

Kylee loves stickers and these ones were even better because they didn't rip when she was playing with them. She had so much fun sitting with her legs crossed on the floor with Daddy working on her poster.

She'd carefully peel off the backing, or have Daddy do the really hard ones.

Stick it where she wanted it to go.

And push down on it really good.

I think she had a lot of fun!! (This was the best smiling picture I could get without using the flash. The lighting is so bad at night!)

The finished product!! It was so fun to watch her do it. All of the snowmen were turned the right way, none of them were upside down. None of the stickers could touch either. A couple times she would hold a sticker in one spot to see how it looked before switching it to somewhere else. She's got a bit of my perfectionist in her!

December 3rd: Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Last night after Ben got home from work, we popped some popcorn and watched the cartoon version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I know I've said this before, but I swear it was longer when I was little! Kylee loved it and at the end when the grinch pulled the sleigh back up onto the mountain, Kylee yelled "Yay!!" and started clapping. I love how she gets into movies like that!
December 2nd: The Polar Express Book
Our activity for the day was read The Polar Express. I love the pictures in this book, they are so pretty!! Since the book itself is pretty long and each page is lengthy, I just summed up the story into my own version as we flipped through the book. Ky loved the part with Santa giving the boy the bell. I'm excited to watch the movie!
December 1st: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
Last year, I started doing some Christmas activity every day until Christmas and had so much fun doing it. It was a good way to stay in the Christmas spirit and also serve others.
I wanted to find an advent calendar with little doors I could put in each one a treat and a paper that said what we were going to do that day. I found the perfect thing!! Shopko, $10!! I know right?! Plus, Kylee loves that it is a train.

She loved opening the first door to see what was inside.

She was pretty excited about the tootsie roll! She kept saying, "Tootsie! Tootsie!"

She noticed the paper inside and opened it up to see what it was. It said "Watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Pop Popcorn". (Making popcorn in our air popper is one of her favorite things.)

She sat and watched the whole movie!! Whenever the abominable snowman came on she'd say, "Ohhh, scary!". I have to say, I love having a DVR! I went through the guide for the next week or two and set all the Christmas shows to record. So convenient!

She sat and ate popcorn without taking her eyes off the tv the whole time. I'm pretty sure we each ate the same amount too!!

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!
I have been looking forward to Christmas for the past few months more so than any other year. I'm not sure if it's that I have my own place to decorate or that this will be the first year Kylee will really get into it. Either way, I've been so excited! Here's some pictures of my house all decorated.

I know it's just totally socially unacceptable, but yes, I put up my tree a few days BEFORE thanksgiving. I did it and I don't even care! Ü

I love my tree. All of my ornaments are stars, but each one is different. I try to buy a new one when we go fun places or when I see one I really like somewhere.

Kylee loves window clings and I was able to find some at Walgreens for super cheap. You can't see them very well in this picture but the familyroom window is Christmas bears and snowflakes, kitchen is Santa and his elves making toys, Kylee's room is Winnie the Pooh and Mickey with his friends, and the office is Micky and Minnie. She loves them and have to look at each one every day.
Here's my beautiful Santa canvas.

Another pretty Santa picture.

I love my little snowman pillow. The other side is a Christmas tree, but Kylee likes the snowman more.
Here are my natavities. I have 5 of them so far and have gotten a new one each year since we've been married. The set on bottom is one I let Kylee play with. The poor little sheep has lost each leg at least once this year already because she throws him on the wood floor sometimes. We're working on that one.

Here's the back door area. My fun wreath I made last year and a couple little Christmas things on the other two doors.

This is the new one I got this year. I love how cute and bright it is.

Our lovely stockings; mine, Kylee's, and Ben's. Kylee loves her cute penguin stocking holder.
My cute little Santa that hangs on the front door.

A bit of color on the table.

Some fun Christmas tree candles to keep the snail and frog company. Kylee actually makes us light them once a day and sing "Happy Birthday" and blow them out. My yummy Christmas Cottage scentsy is burning in the background too.

There's my fun candy cane candles and a really pretty Santa with his reindeer.

Another fun Santa and cute sign.

The big, beautiful Santa.

There you go! My Christmas home. I'll take a picture of the outside of the house tonight and post it later. Pretty fun!
