4 years today / 2 weeks old
Today has two special events. First is that today is the anniversary of mine and Ben's first date four years ago. Wow! I can't believe we've known each other for that long! If you had told me back then we'd be married today and have a beautiful baby I probably wouldn't believe it. I'd want it to be true because my Ben is such an amazing and good looking man, but I wouldn't believe it. Second, today Kylee is two weeks old! How fast these last two weeks have gone. We've already seen changes in our little princess. It's exciting to see her grow, but a little difficult at the same time because she's changing to fast. I am so blessed to have Ben and Kylee in my life. They fill each day with so much love and excitement. They are the loves of my life and make every day absolutely amazing.

Home Sweet Home
Here are some pictures we took the first two days home. It felt great to be back and to finally have Kylee there with us.
Hospital Stay
We took a bunch of pictures while we were at the hospital and I managed to narrow it down to a FEW of my favorites. They cover everything from waiting in the delivery room to getting ready to come home.
Hospital Pictures
A photo company that takes pictures for the hospital came to take Kylee's pictures when she was 13-ish hours old. She was wide awake for the whole thing. Her dad decided to take some of his own while she looked so freakin' cute.

One week old
I can't believe my little baby is already a week old! Time has already flown by so fast. I should probably let everyone know how it went the day she was born.
I started having contractions Wednesday night around 11:00 pm. They weren't very strong, but were coming every 10 minutes or so. The next morning I woke up at 6:30 with my back killing me and contractions coming every 8 minutes or so. I started timing them and they were consistant, but the doctor said to wait to come in until they were every 5 minutes. Around noon they started spreading out more and getting weaker. Ben and I were pretty bummed. We decided to go for a walk on his lunch break and then I went to get a pedicure. Apparently the man at the salon has magic hands because I started having contractions around 2:30 every 5 minutes and they were getting stronger. I went to Ben's work to help him with some things and let him know about the contractions. Needless to say he was really excited, but we decided to wait and see if they stayed that way. They were still coming and lasting about 45 or 50 seconds each at 4:00 so we decided to head to the hospital. We checked in around 5:00 and happened to take their last open room. The nurse came and checked me and said I was about a 3 and 70%, but the contractions were coming every 5 minutes and lasting 1 1/2 minutes each so she said we'd more than likely be staying put. The contractions started getting pretty intense and I toughed it out until about 7:00 or so. Can I just say epidurals are heaven?! Once that kicked in I was just sitting back enjoying the BCS championship game on TV. Yep, couldn't miss that Ü. Family started arriving to wait for the baby. A doctor came in to check me for my doctor who wasn't there yet and said I was fully dialated and ready to go. Everyone couldn't believe how fast I was progressing especially without any pitocin. We did maybe 5 sets of practice pushes before she was crowning and told the doctor to come on down. When the doctor arrived we pushed for maybe 5 more sets and little Kylee was here at 11:08 pm. It was such an amazing experience and almost seemed too easy. We stayed at the hospital Friday and came home at 1:00 Saturday afternoon. The hospital stay and recovery went perfectly and now I'm sitting here looking at my beautiful baby girl. I have the most amazing husband in the entire world and he is an even better daddy. I am so blessed to have them in my life and can't wait for every little moment to come. Life couldn't be better!!

Another day at the doctor
We went to the doctor today. She said I was 80% and still at 1 1/2. She stripped the membranes hoping that will speed things up on it's own. If I'm still pregnant Monday we'll go in again and schedule the inducement. Hopefully it'll happen before then, but we'll see.

Holy Cow!
Okay, I think this is just crazy so I have to share. Ben and I saw gas at Maverik in Bountiful on 2nd West for $1.25! I was tempted to fill up already having 3/4 tank!
