Yankee Cakes

I made these fun cakes for my cousin's son who was celebrating his first birthday with a New York Yankee themed party.

The smash cake turned out super cute and I really liked how the top turned out.

The cake for the guests was Yankee Stadium. She didn't want fondant so the whole thing was iced with buttercream.
Here's a close up of the field. Go to my cake blog HERE to see more!

Busy Shoppin'

These couple pictures are just for fun. Whenever we go to the store, we have to push the shopping cart backwards. By backwards I mean we push from the back so Ky is facing forward. Yeah, it makes it a little tricky to turn well, but this way she doesn't try to stand up and face forward to see where we're going.

I saw these cute little rabbit ears at Target and had to try them on her. As you can tell she wasn't too impressed.

Ky loves when her Daddy pushes her really fast in the cart and pretends like they're going to crash into Mommy. (Just FYI, Ben doesn't usually wear sleveless shirts, especially in the winter. We were on our way home from the gym.)

Princess Chair

I had been wanting to get Ky a fun chair she could watch movies and her tv shows she loves in. I saw this one on BabiesRUs.com and waited to get my 20% off coupon in the mail. I was super excited when a 25% off coupon came with it specific for these chairs! We headed down to Salt Lake and picked it up on Saturday. Needless to say she LOVES it! She was so excited when she sat in it and kept kicking her legs and giggling.

I think this is her favorite way to sit: sucking her thumb, playing with her hair, and crossing her ankles.

I don't remember what show she was watching but it must have been a really good part!

She loves to get out for a second and walk around her chair every so often.
Then she climbs back in and gets comfy again.

I'm glad she loves her princess chair!

Zion Century

A couple weeks ago we went to St. George where Ben was riding in the Zion Century bike ride. For anyone who doesn't know, a Century bike ride is 100 miles!

This was the morning of the race. It started out such a beautiful day! Too bad the last 2 hours of the ride would be pouring rain!

Here's my Benny-Poo ready to start! We had some pedal problems though. His new bike shoes came with the wrong clips so they didn't fit the pedals. All the bike shops were already closed for the day so we had to go to Walmart the night before the ride and buy some old school pedals. Ben did awesome even though it made it a lot tougher. Way to go babe!!

While Ben was riding, Ky and I went with my sister Michelle and her kids to see The Princess and the Frog. It was SO cute and Ky loved dancing to all the music. She saw this giant Horton in the lobby and started making elephant noises at him. When we got close she became shy and didn't want anything to do with him.

We woke up to a beautiful day and were ready to start the drive home.

We got everything all packed up and headed out.

Ben was tired.

Ky was tired.

And I took pictures of the beautiful snow covered mountains and red rock.
Cool picture with the cloud we were headed into.

My Little Artist

I bought Ky some jumbo crayons the other day because I was sure she would love to color. She loved picking them out of the box one at a time.

And each one got tasted before she put it down.

This picture of Ky and Ben is just too cute!!

And there she goes getting ready to step on her picture!

Little Pink Ladybug

I made this cute ladybug cake for my friend whose daughter was having her first birthday party.

Super cute little pink ladybugs! Check out my cake blog HERE to see more pictures!
