Xterra 2010!

A few weeks ago, Ben and his brother Tim did the Xterra triathlon up at Snow Basin. I didn't take a ton of pictures though, which I'm sure is shocking Ü.

The weather was perfect that day and the mountains looked so beautiful!

Kylee was such a good girl and just sat and people watched (while sucking her thumb and playing with her hair of course.)

Way to go Daddy, we love you!!

The Best Idea Ever!!!

Ben's Aunt Sharon gave me the best idea! She said she did this when her girls when they were Ky's age and they loved it. Painting rocks with water! I know, so simple right?! You get one of those black sponge craft brushes and a litle cup with some water in it. When the rock gets wet, it gets darker so it's like "painting" it. Kylee LOVES this and we go outside and do it whenever the weather is nice.

I also showed her how the cement gets dark when it gets wet too so now she loves to "paint the cement".

She gets really into it!

It didn't take her long to figure out if she waves the brush around the water splaters and makes fun spots.
She even "painted" the gate for me. Thanks Princess!

Undecided

So I'm feeling like I need to change my hair. It always seems the same and I'm bored with it. I always do the same color job, same cut, same style, blah, blah, blah. I don't spend as much time getting ready as I used to and maybe that's what the problem is. I'd love to change the color and do something fun and darker, but doing anything other than blonde terrifies me and I don't think I look like myself. I thought about cutting it short, but it would still need to be long enough for a pony tail. I decided to do full bangs today instead of sweeping them to the side and style the rest a little differently, but I'm not sure what I think of it. I'm pretty sure Ben won't like it, so maybe I'll do it like this on days he gets home late just for something different Ü. HHmmmm........

A Little Bit Of Everything

This is going to be one of those random picture posts. I've had a bunch of pictures to post, but not enough of one event to justify making a post for each.

On bad weather days or days we don't want to be stuck in the house, Ky and I go get lunch from somewhere and take it to the mall.

When she's all done eating, we get the quarters we collected from her piggy bank and she gets to ride all of the coin operated rides her little heart can handle. The purple motorcycle is one of her favorites.

And the safari jeep too.

Ky loves to watch movies and we've got a pretty awesome Disney collection going. She cuddles with a different animal/toy each time depending on what we're watching (If it's Mickey she cuddles her Minnie Mouse, if it's Princess and the Frog she cuddles her frog, etc). This particular movie was Toy Story so she had to cuddle with Rex.
Towards the end of The Princess and The Frog when Ray goes up with Evangelene, all the animals have their mouths open in shock (I'm assuming). She does what they do and watches that whole part with her mouth wide open and smiling. Makes me laugh every time!
I'm not sure what she was watching here, but it was such a good part that she was completely frozen with her arms in the air for a good 2 or 3 minutes!
She is in ROCK HEAVEN at our house and ends up bringing in 2 or 3 everytime we're done playing. I just take them back out when she is napping or asleep for the night, but there's always more in the house the next day.
Ky is such a good helper and loves to fold clothes with me. She always wants to put on my clothes when they're out, especially my pajama pants. I sinch them really tight around her waist and roll them up so she doesn't fall. Funny girl!

We "draw" at least 5 times a day. She sits (or stands) quietly and concentrates so hard on what she's doing. Whenever I ask her what she's drawing it's always "Daddy".

We went to lunch with Ben's mom yesterday and I was really surprised when she LOVED the spinach artichoke dip! That's my girl! Ben and I love that stuff!
Thursday we went to lunch with my parents and brother and then walked over to Petco to check out some animals just for fun. Ky loved when my mom let her push the little carts. I think every store needs these!
Ky, my niece Preslee, and I decorated this fun haunted house when Pres slept over a couple weeks ago. Ky loved eating the left over candy from the "scary castle".

Me and my baby girl. We sure do a lot of fun stuff!

Scary Hill

This past weekend my sister Jen and I took our girls mini golfing and to see Toy Story 3. Cherry Hill turns into Scary Hill and decorates everything for Halloween. Fun fun! Kylee even got her own little club and had fun trying to hit the ball, for the first couple minutes! After that she just wanted to move everyones balls and throw them in the holes or the water.

I'm pretty sure she ended up having every color of ball between switching with everyone and Preslee finding her some along the way.

I think she had a lot of fun just getting to explore and play. She especially loved all the castles. This is the picture I got when I asked her to show me her orange ball.

Our New House

So I'm finally getting around to posting some pictures of our new house. I haven't taken pictures of all of the rooms yet, but here are some I have. We LOVE it! This is the outside of our townhome. We definately have the best one being on the end. We have lots more windows and a big side yard. (I know, my orange Halloween wreath is really bright, but I love it!)

I have this super cute sign by the door. We don't have a lot of Halloween decorations yet, Ben doesn't love it like I do. I figure I'm going to have to ease him into it and get a couple things each year.

I bought some window clings and Kylee helped me put them on some of the windows. She loves them! Multiple times each day we have to look at them and she tells me what each one is. She can't say skeleton so they're just called "scary". There's even a "scary castle" (haunted house).

I made these a few years ago with my sister and they look pretty cute right here.

So here's the living room. It's not done yet though. I need to go get a rug and will have a table or small armoire behind my chairs eventually with a TV on it. Since we're renting I may not put up some window treatments, but I think it would look really nice so we'll see. Oh yeah, I need to cover some pillows for the couch too.
I LOVE my chairs. They're one of my favorite things in the house. They're actually super comfy.

Here's my lovely kitchen. One day I'll get some stuff to put up above the shelves, but I'm not quite sure what to do up there yet. I have a super cool knife holder on the wall you might not be able to see. It's magnetic! The knives just stick right to it!

We have a GARAGE!!! Yay! It'll be SO nice for winter, especially in Logan. I'm kinda proud of myself for putting these metal shelves together one day during Ky's nap. Yep, I'm getting pretty handy!

Moving upstairs! Here's Kylee's darling whale bathroom. I love how it turned out! It's cute and fun, but not extremely little kid-ish.

Kylee has SO many toys and I didn't want her room full of them. Plus she has her crib, changing table, glider, and dresser in there now and it's getting to be kind of crowded. I got these shelves from Ben's mom that used to be his grandma's, but when I got them they were orange. After three coats of white paint I figured they were good enough, but will probably put on a few more coats when I do Kylee's room after her birthday and they go in there. They fit really good for now in this little spot in the hallway though.

Here's our family room where we hang out and watch movies and tv. I have a couple of neat metal film reels on the walls and a really cute painting that says Movie Night on the walls. Eventually I'll get this neat film strip picture frame I saw online too. It's not quite finished yet though, I need to recover the pillows and get a new ottoman and a rug.

I tried to do a panoramic picture on my phone to show the whole thing, but it's kind of distorted. I forgot how much I love my gigantic love sac though!!

I love that we can see the Logan Temple lit up at night through the hallway windows. We used to be able to see the Bountiful Temple from our house when we lived there so it's fun to see one at home again.

I got Kylee a few pets when we first moved in that I thought she would love to feed and watch. They are Fish, Frog, and Snail. Sadly Fish passed away on Thursday so later today I'm going to Petsmart to buy a replacement before Ky notices.

Well there you have it, a few pictures of our new home!
