December 25th: Santa Came!/Hoss Family Dinner

Christmas morning with Kylee was so much fun. She wasn't as excited as I was right off the bat though. Waking up early with lots of noise and people everywhere would make me kind of grumpy too!
She was pretty excited to get to FINALLY rip open her present that had been under Grandma's tree for weeks and not being able to touch it!
Even though once she tore off the first piece of wrapping paper she would have been totally content just playing with that.
She loved her Puppies and Kittens book though. We got to read it while everyone opened up their presents.
Then we headed upstairs to our tree to see that SANTA CAME!!!!
As soon as Ky saw Minnie Mouse in her stocking she crawled as fast as she could over to it and yanked her out. She was so excited to see her Minnie!
But, Minnie was quickly thrown to the ground when she noticed there was also a popcorn ball AND a clementine in there. Her favorites! She must have been a really good girl!! She actually started working on eating the clementine with the peel and I had to show her that the good stuff is on the inside.
She had so much fun opening presents. I had to start the unwrapping for her so she had something to hold on to and pull, but she got the hang of it.
I think pulling the tissue paper out of the bags as fast as she could was her favorite though.
She got a bunch of new books, which I loved because I know all her old ones by heart.
We even had to stop and take a little reading break so she could check them out.
She got pretty excited to open this shiny red present.
Even though there was just a bunch of clothes in it. She tossed them out of the box one by one.
And even decided to try the pants on.......her head.
Her favorite present was the one Santa brought her, a fun walker/car!!! Maybe this will help her decide she wants to start working on walking (or even standing by herself Ü). Honestly, I think she was mostly excited about the box.
I had so much fun watching Kylee and helping her unwrap her presents. I'm pretty sure she had a fun first Christmas!

Once Ky was done with her gifts, Ben and I started opening ours. I got some new pajamas since what I've been sleeping in is REALLY ghetto and embarrassing, a BUNCH of new purses, and my registration for the Iron Girl Triathlon at Lake Las Vegas this coming May!
Ben had a surprise in his stocking too, he was all registered for the Vineman Triathlon in California this coming July!!
He got some sweet new triathlon swim goggles and lense spray to go with it, some supplements, and a sweet new quilt I made him.

Kylee's favorite gift her Daddy got was his snow stick for snowball fights. If that face doesn't spell trouble I don't know what does!
Later that evening we went over to my parent's house for the Hoss Family Dinner. All the kids had brought with them at least one present they got and we ate TONS of good food. My mom is an AMAZING cook and had prepared a 20 pound turkey to feed the army that is my family!

All in all we had an AMAZING Christmas. Kylee definately gave it thumbs up!

December 24th: Cookies and Popcorn Balls/Wiser Family Dinner

Friday Morning Ky and I went over to my Mom's to make cookies for santa and popcorn balls. We missed the cookies, but were there in time to help make MORE popcorn balls. It was so fun to see my nieces and nephew so excited for Santa to come!

Later that night we had a Christmas Eve dinner with the Wiser's. It was so good and everyone had a lot of fun. Ben and I planned the festivities so we played Christmas Song Pictionary where the person drawing was blindfolded. Good thing each team had good guessers! After that Ben read a talk from President Monson from the December 2008 Ensign and we finished with watching The Nativity with Amy Grant's Breath of Heaven playing in the background. It was a wonderful Christmas Eve!

Here's a picture of the gang at dinner. This picture turned out surprisingly good considering it was on a timer.

Kylee was so tired after the party. It was nice just cuddling with her for a while.

It's Swimmin' Time!

I have so much fun going swimming with Ky and it seems like everytime we go she likes it more and more. This is the first time we've been when they've had the water features turned on. She crawled up out of the pool to investigate this one where the water shoots out of the holes in the floor.

She'd put her hands in it, cover the holes and spray water everywhere, and even crawl back and forth between the streams of water.

She even decided to stick her face in it and looked at me and laughed after as water was running down her face. I'm glad she's not afraid to play in the water!

My Beautiful Baby!!!

Here are some pictures of Kylee in her Christmas dress. She wore it to church on Sunday and looked so gorgeous! It's so pretty and sparkly. When I say sparkly I mean SPARKLY! Our ENTIRE bench at church was COVERED in glitter!!

Coke Cake #2

I made a Coke cake for a friend of mine's husband for his graduation party on Saturday and it was really cool!

Tis The Season To Be Freezin!

One of the days this past week when it was REALLY cold we decided to just stay inside and play in our jammies and take some pictures.

Ky loves this toy with bells she got from Diane. It makes such pretty noise!

Of course she had to take a thumb sucking-hair playing with break.

Next she played with the nativity.

And then bowled into it and knocked everything on the floor.
She's a pretty funny little lady!

She crawled over to the window and looked outside at the snow. ( I LOVE this picture!)

Good thing we were nice and warm inside!

How Did My Shirt Get So Wet?!

I'm not sure why, but lately when Ky has water in her sippy cup she fills her mouth with it and then lets it run down her chin and soak her shirt. I was making lunch when I turned around to find this the other day. She was literally soaked down her whole shirt! I guess I should be thankful it's not juice, she'd be super sticky!

December 23rd: Ben's Work Christmas Party

Tonight we went to a Christmas party for Ben's work. Everyone got together at Applebee's for dinner and we had a lot of fun. Sorry, no pictures though.

December 22nd: A Christmas Carol

I love all of the Christmas Carol movies. I think the actor in this one is a really good Scrooge. One of my favorites has to be the Disney one though.

December 21st: Cheer Christmas Party/How The Grinch Stole Christmas

I had so much fun on Monday! My friend from school Laci put together a Christmas party with a bunch of girls I cheered with. It was so fun catching up with everyone and seeing all the cute kiddos!

Later that night before bed we watched Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas as our Christmas movie. Another one I swear was at least 2 hours long when I was little!

December 20th: Hoss Family Party

Sunday we went to the Hoss Family Christmas Party. Each year my sisters and mom take turns hosting and this time it was at Melinda's. We had so much fun! Thanks Moey!

This year we decorated gingerbread houses. Each family had their own to work on.

The McKinlay's (and Ky) getting their candy on.
Me and my helper Allie. Ben was taking pictures so she jumped in to work on ours.
Pretty dang cute huh! Allie worked really hard on it and even got to take it home.
Paige instructing her Dad on how to build their house.
My dad and Nate working away. They did really good for first-timers!
The Cheney's building their house. Their girls were so fun to watch, they loved it!
Melinda working on her family's house. I love Pres and Allie licking their fingers in the background.
And lucky Grandma got to cuddle the babies while everyone worked.
Ky loved the cracker her Grandma gave her. I'm pretty sure she's licking off all the salt here.
She even wanted to share it!
When everyone was done with their gingerbread houses we exchanged white elephant gifts. Ky got to go first and had so much fun opening her first present ever, well with a little help from me of course.
