Something Blue

I made this cake for my cousin's 5th wedding anniversary. She wanted something similar to her wedding cake, but a little different too. Check out my cake blog HERE for more pictures!

Another Day of Playing Inside

The other day was snowy and cold so we played and did lots of fun stuff inside. Ky got a couple new toys this week which she loves, Tickle Me Elmo and a receiver phone.

Poor Elmo! He looks terrified! I guess I would be too if someone was trying to rip off my eyes!

I think we're in trouble when Ky gets older. She LOVES phones!

I just can't keep socks on this girl! She always pulls them off and says "oughto", like she doesn't have a clue how it happened.

Her new thing is trying to put them back on by herself. She hasn't done it yet, but works so hard to do it.

Looks like the socks are her favorite! Isn't it funny how even with fun new toys, they always want their clothes or something that's not a toy?
She got a shot this day at the doctor so she's rockin' the snoopy bandaid. She picked it off pretty quick once she remembered it was there.

Trying to put her pants on her head, goofball!

13 Months And Then Some!

We were in St. George last week and I forgot to post about my Ky Bug being another month older so here ya go!

Kylee:

  • is really starting to give lots of hugs and kisses. We LOVE it!!
  • has gotten really good at going to bed and taking naps. She gets put in bed still awake and falls asleep all on her own! Good girl Ky!!!
  • loves to talk on her foot like it's a phone whenever she's on her changing table.
  • points to her nose when you ask her where it is. We're working on the others, but this one is her favorite.
  • is getting really steady on her feet and keeps getting better and better at walking.
  • loves to mimic things her Dad does, especially when he caughs or sniffles.
  • loves to have her teeth brushed. Mostly she likes sucking all the toothpaste off her toothbrush because it's berry flavored, but she still lets me brush her teeth and tongue really good.
  • will plug her nose and make a funny face when you say "P-U!"
  • is really social and says "Hi" to everyone wherever we go, especially kids.

Here's Ky showing us where her nose is.

We love you baby girl!!!

Banjo Cake

I made this fun banjo cake for a friend of mine who's father-in-law was celebrating his 75th birthday. Click HERE to go to my cake blog and see more!

Are You Ready For Some Football?!

I forgot to post this one after the superbowl so it's not really in order, but that's okay. I made some fun football treats for the Wiser Family Superbowl Party.

The helmet cake had two sides.

One for the Colts.
And one for the Saints.
There were also football shaped sugar cookies.
And football oreo truffles. They were YUMMY!
Here's Ky and her Uncle Austin. He must not have known they were supposto do their silly faces!

Sunny St. George!

My Mom, Ky, and I got to spend last week in St. George with my sister and her family. It was so much fun!! This was the weather from her front porch while we were there.

And this was the weather from our front porch while we were gone. I'm glad we missed this one!

On the way there we stopped by the store to get some food for the drive. Kylee just had to get her new favorite treat, M&M minis.

She was SO good the whole time in the car! She didn't whine a single time! Here she is watching Finding Nemo. She watched the entire movie and I don't think I saw her blink once!

She also read some of her favorite books we brought along.
Grandma even let her drive!!
The Buchi's were so excited to see us and Kylee had so much fun playing with Whitney and Jordan. The first night there we all played pictionary. Kylee got to chose what color our team was.
After the game we ate popcorn. Kylee couldn't get enough!

She decided she wanted to wake up 45 earlier than she usually does every morning, so she got to watch Dora bright and early.
Friday morning the kiddos school had a Fun Walk where family was invited to come join in. Kylee was in heaven! She LOVES kids and she waved and said "Hi" to pretty much every one in the elementary as they went out to the track.
While everyone was at work and school we went to the outlets to do some shopping. Ky got this super cute penguin at Children's Place for $1! He has definately gotten a bunch of kisses!
When the kids went home we all went outside to play since it was SO nice. It was honestly at least 60° with not a cloud in sight!
Ky didn't like the feel of the grass much though. She sat like this until I brought back a blanket.
Much better!
Ky and her cousin Jordan. He got lots of hugs and kisses from her too!
She had tons of fun blowing bubbles with Whit.
She had never played with chalk before, but caught on pretty quick.
I went inside to get a drink and came back to find her COVERED in chalk! She was having so much fun rubbing it ALL OVER herself.
She even got her face pretty good!
Kylee's beautiful artwork on the cement and her clothes.
She worked really hard trying to put the two pieces together.
The basketball one got used as a phone quite a bit. I'm thinking this is where the chalk on her face came from.
She loved playing with the jump rope. We'll work on playing with it while standing up later this summer. Ü
Aunt Michelle shared her glasses with Ky when the sun was in her face. Looks pretty stylin' if you ask me!
Isn't she just the cutest! I just love that big cheesy grin!
I brought out her shades and she was set!
Ta Da!! Darling!!!

I don't think the frisby fit over her head, but there was no telling Ky that!
I LOVE this picture!!! She had so much fun playing outside and it makes me so excited for summer when we can play all day long!
That night we all went out to dinner. We didn't want to go home the next day!
We got all loaded in the car and Ky was a little angel AGAIN! She watched a couple movies and played with toys. What a perfect little road trippin' lady!
