HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This was Kylee's first Halloween and I thought it would be fun to start a new family tradition. PUMPKIN PAJAMA PARTY! Yesterday Ky and I carved her very first pumpkin in our pajamas and I have to say it was pretty fun.

We went outside and picked the perfect pumpkin. I spooned out all the insides while Kylee enjoyed a little treat.

We picked the design (a lady bug for my little Kylee Bug of course) and taped it on the pumpkin.

Then we poked all the little holes to know where to cut. Isn't Ky so cute sucking her thumb and playing with her hair in the background!!

Ta Da!!! The finished pumpkin! Ky looks pretty excited if I say so myself! I think this will be a lot of fun to do each year the day before Halloween.

Here it is on the front porch. CUTE!!

I was so excited to get Ky all dressed up today in her costume. My little witch turned out absolutely darling!!

Playing with her pumpkin.
Here's three of the little witches, Ky and her cousins Issy and Gabi. Her cousin Paige was a witch too, but isn't in the picture. They look so cute!!

Me, Ky, and Ben's Aunt all dressed up ready to go trick-or-treating. I decided to wait until yesterday to get out my costume stuff and had no idea where it was. Good thing I have a box full of cheerleading uniforms in the basement. I know, not very original but it worked! Pretty daring wearing it around in Kaysville though. I guess everyone here is a little fond of the Darts.

We had a rough time getting Ky to keep the hat on because she wanted to play with it.

So she ended up going trick-or-treating like this. Still pretty stinkin' cute!!

We had a really fun Halloween. We carved a pumpkin, made and decorated Halloween cookies, went to Grandma and Grandpa Hoss's house for dinner and trick-or-treating with the cousins, and then more trick-or-treating with Daddy and Diane.

Say Cheese!!

We went to a wedding reception this past weekend where they had a photo booth for the guests to take pictures. These are pictures of pictures so they're not the best quality, but they're still super cute!

My darling little family, with Kylee not smiling. She wasn't quite sure what we were doing in there.

Our silly faces. (This one is my favorite)

Kylee Sandwich!

Cheesy Grins! (Ky was actually smiling the whole time right before this picture.)

My Little Fishy

It's not hard to tell that Kylee loves to go swimming. She could stay and play for hours!

One of her favorite tricks, the water push-up. She can actually hold this for a long time.

Splashin' away!
Nothin' like relaxin' in the pool floating on your back!

Me and my little fishy!

Fall Leaves

We went outside to help with some yardwork and decided it would be fun to rake up some leaves in a big pile and let Ky play in them. She loved it!

AAHHH!!! My beautiful, happy baby!

Snug As A Bug

Ben and I love taking Ky with us when we go jogging and she loves going along too. The other day it was a little chilly so we got her all bundled up and went out. I wasn't sure what she'd think about having her hands hidden in her little mittens, but she actually like it. She kept trying to clap, but she couldn't get her hands to touch with the puffy coat :)

Look What I Can Do!

Ben went in Ky's room today when she was supposed to be falling asleep for her morning nap and this is what he saw.

She was so proud of herself! It took a couple times of me encouraging her to show me. She's getting so big!!

Cookies!

I made some super cute birthday cookies the other day. There were presents, balloons, party hats, and birthday cakes. I didn't have the cookie cutters for them so I just made up my own!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I also made some Halloween ones for the neighborhood "BOO" treats. They turned out really cute and I have to say that Frankie is my favorite!

I Had A Birthday Shout HOORAY!

My birthday was amazing and I had so much fun spending the day with my two favorite people! They sure know how to make me feel special!

We started off the day by going to Marketstreet Grill in Downtown for breakfast. Hands down the BEST place to go! Their orange juice is so good! It's fresh squeezed and tastes like you're eating the yummiest, freshest orange ever!

Kylee was pretty excited it was my birthday too! Okay, so she was more excited she got to have some of Ben's blueberry muffin :)

Ky being silly.

I LOVE their hot chocolate. Milk chocolate shavings, whipped cream, warm cocoa, so good!

Me enjoying my delicious treat.
Later we headed over to Tucci's for Linner (late lunch/early dinner). They have hands down the best spinach artichoke dip ever! Oh Spinaci, how I love thee! I took a picture of the amazing dish, but accidentally deleted it so you'll just have to imagine.
After we got home Ben took Ky and fed her dinner and gave her a bath so I could take a little nap. Just what I needed! When I woke up there was an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins waiting for me and I didn't even know it was coming!

Me posing by the cake while Ky licks her chops near by.

My little helper getting ready to huff and puff.

The look on her face kills me here! "Must....Touch....Fire." Good thing there were only 6 candles and not 24!

She looks pretty close, but don't worry I'd never let her get burned. I only managed to blow out 2 of the 6 candles, how sad is that! Round 2 was more successful though and they all went out.

After eating the cake and putting Kylee to bed, Ben took me to see The Proposal. Oh man, I laughed so hard!! It was hilarious! I loved going out just the two of us, something that doesn't happen very often with our little bug.

Absolutely the BEST 24th Birthday I've ever had!

¡Aye Carumba, Nueve Meses!

I know I say this every month, but I can't believe my little baby is growing so fast! I am amazed every day by how smart she is and how fast she is learning and the things she can do.
  • She loves to eat finger foods now, not just baby food. I have a lot of fun giving her new things to try from my plate and she always loves what she gets. Well, except for scrambled eggs. She's not so sure about that one, she's gagged a couple times :)
  • Bath time is soak mommy time. I never get out of there dry, but I don't mind. She has so much fun playing and splashing in there.
  • She loves to play and be silly with her Daddy. He can always get huge smiles and giggles out of her.
  • Everytime single time I hold her, she puts her head on my shoulder, sucks her thumb, plays with my hair, and just lets me cuddle her for a moment. I love it.
  • She loves to have her teeth and gums brushed. Never too early to start good habits!
  • Her socks don't stay on longer than 5 seconds in the car. As soon as her bum hits the carseat she starts pulling and tugging to get them off. She always gives me a triumphant squeal when she succeeds.
  • She gets better and better at crawling on her hands and knees every day. I'm pretty sure the end of the army crawl is near.
  • She only has tantrums when she's tired and I'm rocking her before her naps. It doesn't happen very often, but man are they getting good and funny! Sometimes I can't help but stop and laugh because she is so dramatic!

We took her in for her well baby check up on tuesday. She is 27.5 in long (51%) her noggin is 17.5 in (67%) and she weighs 17.19 lbs (22%). We were sure she weighed more than that and the dr. actually said she wanted us to up Ky's feedings a little bit. She never seems to be hungry to me and I'm pretty sure she's thining out because she is so super active. She's still got some rollies left and I think she looks perfect! Especially since when she was 4 months she was 94%. They were out of flu shots so we have to take her to the health department to get those on Monday. I have to say I was pretty glad she didn't have to get a shot, breaks my heart, not that she gets out of it. Other than that everything went great and she's growing perfectly! We love you Baby Bug!

Mini Cakes

I made some mini cakes the other night after Ky went to bed. I've been wanting to give them a shot for a while. You'd think being mini they'd be a lot less time consuming than regular sized cakes, but they're not. I finished around midnight and was glad I had only done three. Don't get me wrong, they were still a lot of fun and I'll definately do more in the future, just not so late.

This one was my favorite and the first one I did. I think one of the next big cakes I do will have to have a zebra tier for sure.

The second one actually ended up having exactly enough room to have the circles fit perfectly across and up and down. Am I good or what!

And this is where my creativity ran out being as late as it was :). Still pretty, but not so creative.
The next morning the Cake Bandit came down to investigate what smelled so yummy.
So close! We let her dig in to that one and try some, which she loved of course.
