I used to lip sync this song to Kylee in the car and one day she decided she wanted to do it. She's not shy at all and will perform it for anyone. This was 2 weeks ago for Ben's family. At the beginning of the video she's telling me and Tim to stop singing because she wants to do it on her own. I love her sweet dance moves between the verses too. Oh she just melts my heart!!!

Tow Mater Cake
My friend Lindy asked if I would make a cake for her little boy Cody's 3rd birthday party. When she said she wanted Mater from Cars I was a little nervous. I had never made a cake that was supposed to look like a specific character before. Luckily for me, the finished product turned out better than I thought it would. It was actually quite a bit bigger than it looks in the pictures. Kylee still talks about the Mater cake.
Cowgirl Kylee
Our friends the Roger's have a horse that Kylee got to ride when we were at their house for their little boy Cody's birthday party. This was her first real horse ride and she LOVED it! She rode him 4 or 5 times while we were there. She still talks about riding him.
She held on nice and tight at and one point even reached down and was holding on to the reins.

Camping
A month or so ago we went camping with our friend Ken and his little girl Jayne. It was a quick overnight trip just for fun. Kylee and I got to just sit and relax while the guys set up our camp.

We love to make dutch oven pizza when we go camping and Kylee was really excited to help Ben make it.

She got a piece of dough and started getting to work.
Dinosaur Park
When my sisters were here visiting, we took most of the kids and went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. This was Kylee's first time there and she loved it!
She thought it was so much fun looking for gold in the water.

We took some silly pictures.
Played at the playground.
And even looked for dinosaur bones.
She thought all the big dinosaurs were really neat and had fun walking around with her cousin Preslee.
Comparing footprints.
All of the cousins that went.
Here's a video of Ky playing in the nice shady sandbox with Tasha, Brock, and Preslee.

Splash Park
My sister Natalie and her family came to visit from Nevada for most of the summer and we had so much fun getting to play with them. We took our girls to a splash park in South Ogden one of the days

Colton Jace Wiser
My handsome little Prince! He was born Monday August 8th (8/8) weighing 8 lbs. 8 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. His birthday is 8/8, Kylee's is 1/8, and mine is 10/8. (I was actually hoping he'd be born the 8th)
Okay, now for his birth story. (Feel free to skip reading it if it's too long, I just want to write it all down before I forget all the details.) I was feeling pretty bummed after leaving the hospital last week when my contractions stopped, even though I was still 10 days from my due date. I had contractions here and there all week, but nothing too consistent. Ben and I went on a date to a movie late Saturday night and my contractions started up again half way through the show. Not too consistent, but pretty strong. They stopped by the time I went to bed, but started up again Sunday morning around 10:30. I had them all day Sunday and they were actually getting about 7 minutes apart that night. But of course, by 10:30 they were slowing way down and by midnight they had all but stopped. I was just going to have to get used to the fact I was going to be induced Tuesday and wouldn't be having him on my own. After only getting 2 hours of sleep, I was woken up at 2:00 am with a really strong contraction. Of course wide awake and excited now, I quietly got out of bed and went to watch a movie and time them. As soon as I sat down, they were every 5 minutes like clock work and getting pretty strong. I woke Ben up at 3:00 and told him he probably wanted to wake up. When he asked me "Why?", I realized what time it was and told him we should head to the hospital. I went in the bathroom and started getting ready, but had to stop and hold my breath with every contraction because they were getting stronger and stronger. We got all our stuff together and after Ben gave me a beautiful blessing, I snuck into Kylee's room to give her a kiss before we left. We got to the hospital around 4:00 and when the nurse came in to check me I was already at a 5 and 100%. I have a pretty good pain tolerance and those contractions were starting to get pretty intense! The nurse asked me if I wanted my epidural soon. You betcha!! My doctor came in and said the anesthesiologist would be right in, but that they were going to hold off delivery for 4 hours. My strep test came back positive this pregnancy so they needed to give me 2 doses of penicillin. One right then and one in 4 hours before they could break my water. After the epidural I was just sitting back watching the clock with Ben watching Sports Center :). I tried to get some sleep, but that didn't happen. At 9:00 the nurse checked me and said I was dilated to a 9+ and at a +1. My doctor wanted to wait one more hour to let him drop a little more. She came in to check me again at 10:00 and I was ready to start pushing. From the time I started pushing to when he was born was about 3 minutes. I thought Kylee was a really easy labor/delivery, but Colton was even easier. I was so lucky not to have any tearing and have had no swelling at all. I have to remind myself I just had a baby and to take it easy because I feel so great. He was crying as soon as he was born with the sweetest little soft cry. I think one of the most amazing feelings is when your new little baby is put on your chest and you get to see their beautiful little face for the first time. After he was all cleaned up, Kylee got to come in and meet her little brother. She was so sweet and asked us, "who that guy is?". When I told her it was baby Colton, she looked back and forth between him and my stomach. I'm sure it's a lot for a 2 1/2 year old to take in, but she got a huge smile and said, "No, him's my baby bruder." She watched them weigh him with her dad and bent down to say, "I'm Kylee. I'm your big sister." She hopped up next to me on the bed to hold him and gave him soft little kisses and touched his cheeks. Nothing like having your family all together.

Fooled Ya!!
Okay, I have more posts I need to do before this one, but I don't want to forget anything. I don't feel like I'm doing as good writing down things with this pregnancy as I did with Kylee. Anyway, here we go.
Tuesday morning at 4:30 I woke up with a super sore back and contractions starting. Of course Ben and I decided to watch 2 movies before going to bed so I had gotten 2 1/2 hours of sleep. I went in the other room to watch a movie and start timing them. For over an hour and a half they were coming 5 minutes apart. I was super excited and went to wake up Ben. We took our time having breakfast and getting things thrown together to go to the hospital. I still had some big things to do on my list before I felt ready and since I wasn't expecting to be in labor I was kind of panicked. We got Kylee up to my parents' and headed to the hospital. I swear right as we got all checked in and in the room, the contractions slowed way down and were not as strong. The nurse checked me and said I was at 2 1/2 and 80%. They monitored Colton for 20 minutes and said he looked good. She told me to get up and walk around to see if anything changed and she'd be back in 40 minutes. I walked around that room for the whole 40 minutes trying to get them to start up again. She came to check me and nothing had changed. BUMMER!! I got all changed and we headed back home. It was so weird because that morning I was definitely in labor, oh well what do ya do. My doctor scheduled to induce me Tuesday the 9th, but said she didn't think I would make it that long. I've got my fingers crossed contractions will start up again tonight and it'll be the real deal this time. We'll see!!!
Some little tidbits I don't want to forget and haven't written down yet:
- It's crazy how each pregnancy is different. Kylee was most active around 11:00 at night and moved here and there during the day. Colton is a little ninja!! He seems to be constantly moving, but more so at night like Ky. He's definitely getting a workout in there though!
- Sleeping is noticeably more difficult this time around. He's settled on my sciatic nerve most nights and I usually end up falling asleep sitting up because it's most comfortable.
- It is SO HOT being pregnant in the summer!! Ky was born in January so this is night and day different. Note to self, no more summer babies!!
- I love being pregnant this time just as much as I did with Kylee. I really have been super comfortable and am only ready to be done because I want my little guy here so bad!
