Finally!

I finally found a way Kylee will eat rice cereal! Let me start off by telling you she has always HATED it. No matter how she ate it, she would make herself gag. I tried mixing it with breast milk, apple juice, bananas, half a spoon of cereal and half a spoon of bananas, you name it. I just couldn't figure out what to do so she would like eating it. Then it happened! Yesterday while I was at the grocery store, I noticed a jar of baby food that said Rice Cereal and Applesauce. It came already mixed up! I figured we'd give it a shot. I opened the jar this morning, stuck in the spoon, moved it toward her mouth, and waited. She opened her mouth real wide, tried some, and like a baby bird opened it again wanting more! SUCCESS!!! It must have been a texture thing and since the jar came mixed already it was in the right consistancy for her. Oh yeah!!

  1. I know exactly what you mean. Jett weened himself from nursing at 11 months so I had to try and get him to drink formula or vitamin d milk. He wasn't going for either. I tried and tried. Finally, I had to trick the little stink. I put just a little bit of chocolate ovaltine in the cows milk for awhile or give him the milk from my cereal just for a little extra flavor. Once he thought it was good, I would slowly stop adding the chocolate. WORKED! But, it was stressful until it did. KIDS...
