18 Months Old Already!!

Wow! My little baby is getting so big! I honestly can't believe she's already 18 months old. She is growing and learning so much. Ben and I comment to each other every day about how amazed we are that she does or learns something new everyday. We started a new tradition today, celebrating half birthdays. I love birthdays and think it will be a fun thing for our kids to get to have 2 birthday celebrations. The half birthday won't be nearly as big as the real deal, but will still be a fun family activity and special treat for the "birthday" kid. For Ky's half birthday we went to McDonald's and she played, got a kid meal, and a special ice cream treat. Okay, here's a few of the fun things she's up to (I couldn't possibly list them all because she's just doing so much!) :

• She loves to repeat back the letters of the alphabet in order with me. Most of them sound exactly like the letters and she is so proud of herself when she's done.
• She's learned how to climb up onto the couch all by herself.
• She says SO MANY words. Some of the newest or most frequent ones she says are "side" (outside), "schwimming" (swimming, which she asks to do multiple times even if we've already done it that day), "slide", "swing", "stuck" (she uses this one a ton every day like when she can't pull her blanket out from under a toy or something like that), "all done", "keys", "want more" (when she wants more of a drink or food), "book", tons of animal names and noises like "neigh neigh" for horse, "movie", and "show".
• She is so good at communicating. I can name a bunch of food choices for meals and she'll say "no" until I get to one she wants and she gets excited and nodds yes. She also will look at me and say "Show. Bee Movie". That means she wants to watch a show and usually it's Bee Movie. So stinkin' smart!
• She has some really great dance moves and has been working on doing summersaults all by herself. If you ask her to do her trick she puts her head down on the floor between her legs and waits for you to help her over.
• She loves to scare people. If you tell her to go scare someone, she'll sneak up behind them and yell "RRAARRRR!!" and then laugh at herself.
• She is totally obsessed with car keys and pushing the panic button. She's such a goof, she'll sit there and say "beep, beep, beep, beep" to the rhythm of the alarm after it stops. (She actually did that today at McDonald's when she heard the alarm on the fry machine too though).
• If she hears a funny sound or sees something she likes, she'll look at you and raise her eyebrows and make an O with her mouth. It is so stinkin' cute!

I'm sure there are tons more too, but I won't name them all. I honestly have to much fun everyday playing with her and we love to just be silly together. She's really starting to play like a toddler now and not a baby. There's nothing I'd rather do than spend all day with my little Princess.
