My Sweet Little Princess

I just realized it's been a long time since I've posted about my sweet little Princess and what she's up to lately. Here we go!!

He still loves riding any and all of the coin rides. We have to keep quarters with us whenever we leave just in case we come across one. The simple things that make her happy :) .

She loves stickers! Our cashier at Sam's club gave her some one day so now everytime we go she asks whoever the cashier is if she can have some stickers. If they don't have them she's a little crushed until the door receipt checker writes a smiley face on the back of the receipt for her.

If we're driving anywhere around nap time she usually falls asleep right before we get home.

And if I try to wake her up she usually gets mad and covers her face so I'll leave her alone. Silly girl.

She is definitely a performer. She hears music and will instantly start dancing and if she knows the song will start belting it out. She's not shy at all and will do it in front of anyone. I can't wait to get her in dance!! Anyway, she leads the hymns at church along with the chorester, lipsynchs to hymns and pretty much any other song, and knows the beginning to every show she watches along with any other song they sing during it. Some of the best ones she does are to Bubble Guppies, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, and I'm sure more. She also says lines of movies word for word as she's watching them. Yep, she's her mother's daughter! I did the same thing when I was little, well the title song/movie line part at least. She loves to say "When I made a promise, I never break that promise, Ever." from Tangled, but she'll just say it out of the blue when the movie isn't even on. So cute!

She loves playing tag lately and also loves to play duck duck goose. We're still kind of learning that one though. We were playing one time outside with all of Ben's brothers (yeah, she can get them to do anything) and after touching my head, saying duck, and passing me, she turned around, came back and started sucking her thumb and playing with my hair. After a couple seconds of that she just turned around and started playing again without missing a beat. So funny!!

Another quarter ride :) .

She loves the doctor and dentist and is such a pro when she goes. I took her to the eye doctor and she really loved the glasses she got to take home.

Ah, this was one night when she was super crazy still awake at 11:30. I'm pretty sure we stopped her naps during the day a couple days later. She had been taking a three hour nap during the day for a long time and going to bed at 8:00, but all of a sudden she started going to sleep at 11:30 and still waking up at 8:00 the next morning. If I put her in bed at 8:00 she would lay there and talk until 11:00 anyway until she finally fell asleep. After a week of that and not much sleep, I decided to see what would happen if we did away with her nap. As soon as I did that she started going to sleep at 8:00 again and waking up at 8:00. She's been doing it for over week now and has slept 12 hours a night straight since. I'm sad she's not napping anymore, but she's sleeping good and I've got my alone time with Ben at night back. I figure if it's a really busy day or we have a late night planned I can still give her a nap.

She loves birthdays and ever since I had mine she's been saying it's her birthday and asks us every day when everyone's birthday is. She'll ask, "Mom, when you birthday is?" out of the blue and then sit and tell me all of our birthdays. Pretty smart!! Anyway, this picture is of her poor singed eyelashes after getting too close to a birthday candle in a cupcake. She didn't say anything about it and I didn't even notice until after her bath that night. It was actually a lot wore than the picture looks.

We love to watch movies and eat popcorn. She eats popcorn just like I do though. She takes a huge handful and moves her head around a little while she shoves in the popcorn. (Embarrassing to admit I do that. I never noticed until Ben said something.)

She's loving anything and everything princess right now.

She's just as obsessed with Sophie and Mooshie as ever. Moosh has started coming around her more and more and whenever he sits by her she says, "Take a picture of us mom!".

Everyday she seems to have a favorite stuffed animal and if it's a puppy she takes it on at least one walk around the house.

After she does something she knows she shouldn't she'll look at me and say, "Sorry Mom!!", but she almost yells the mom part. It's super cute how she says it. She also says "No thanks" and "Please". So polite!

She loves fruit snacks (just like her mamma). Some of the other foods she loves right now are lasagna, pizza, chicken and french fries, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, and goldfish of course.

She is a great cheerleader at sports events (this was at her Uncle Austin's softball game). She is totally into it and watches the whole time. If something good happens or someone cheers, she yells "Wooo!!! Wooo!!" in her darling high pitched voice. Too funny!!

Yep, she's still sucking her thumb and playing with her hair (or my hair). I'll be busy doing something like folding laundry and all of a sudden she'll walk up to me and start playing with my hair. After a minute she'll walk away and go back to doing what she was doing.

She goes up the stairs like this now. She gets so proud of herself when she does something on her own and says with a huge smile, "I did it all by myself!!". She'll ask for something and then say, "it's just right mom, it's just right!". She has also learned to use my iPhone and her Grandma's iPad perfectly all by herself. The rule is that she has to ask first BEFORE picking it up. She'll come up to me and say, "Mom, can I play with your phone?" or "Grandma, can I play with your iPad?". How can you say no to those beautiful blue eyes?! She does the same thing with the computer when she wants to play on disneyjr.com, but she'll say, "Mom, can I check the computer?"

She has started "reading" books by herself. It's the cutest thing ever! She'll pick up a book and while looking at the front cover say the title (or what she thinks the title is). Then she'll turn the pages very carefully and not miss one. All of the books start the same way which is, "One day....". She'll say what's going on in the book and then trail off in a mumble before turning the page. At the end she always says, "And they lived happily ever after. The end.".

She loves playing with her toys all day. She's really starting to like puzzles too.

She is starting to do story play and each toy is it's own personality. She'll have them dance or even kiss each other, take care of their babies, and eat dinner among other things.

She LOVES horses and would love to ride them every day, even though she's only ridden a real horse a couple of times. She'll ride on the saddles downstairs or her rocking horse named Bullseye, put on her hat and say, "Yeehaw! I'm a cowgirl!".

When she falls asleep with a stuffed animal she always puts it on her pillow next to her and makes sure to cover it up. When I tuck her in at night I always have to tuck in her animal and give it kisses too. I tuck the blanket tight around her body as I say, "tight tight like a burrito." I don't remember where it came from, but I've done it since I can remember. Sometimes she'll put her animals and baby Abby on the floor each on a pillow with a blanket and tuck them in like I do her saying, "Tight tight like a reeto." Oh yeah, if Colton or anyone is sleeping and someone is talking loud she'll say in a loud whisper, "SSHHHH!!! Coltee is sleeping!"

She loves swimming and is a little fish in the water. I brought her home some goggles one day and she wore them around until bedtime.

She loves hats and couldn't wait for it to get cold outside before suiting up in her new snow hat and gloves.

She loves to line up toys and apparently money and say she made a train. This particular time she took a bunch of pictures of them.

She is the master of silly faces when I ask her to smile for the camera. (Excuse the crazy hair, she just woke up from a nap.)

We love playing hide and seek. This is one of her favorite hiding spots lately. When it's my turn to hide she'll walk around saying, "In the kitchen? No. By the piano? No. Behind the couch? Gotcha!!" as she looks for me and then finds where I'm hiding.

She loves to come in our room in the morning and play on our bed for a while before saying, "I'm hungry. I want breckis (breakfast)."

I got out Colton's bumbo the other day and she ran right over to it and got comfy.

She didn't fit in it this good when she was a baby! Look at those long skinny legs!

She loves to drink the milk out of her bowl after she's eaten her cereal.

She could swing all day if she could. She still prefers the little kid swings because she likes to go really high in them. At least it's safer that way, right?

She loves playing with the games at McDonalds and other food places. She doesn't like going in the tunnel/slide playsets because I think she's still too timid for them so it's good they have other things she can do. She does like to peek up the end of the slide and watch the other kids play on it.

When we watch movies she has the toys of she has to hold them the whole time along with the movie case.

She has her super girlie side and loves to do her hair and makeup now.

Barbies are becoming a new favorite and it's so fun playing them with her. Sometimes she gets embarrassed though and won't let me watch. She has the cutest stories she plays with them and makes them talk.

She loves this Rapunzel tower at her friend's house and totally acts out the movie. So cute!!

She is so sweet and is my little partner in crime. I love that I get to spend everyday with her. I am so blessed to get to be her mommy. There's nothing like when I give her a big hug and kiss and she does it right back while saying, "I love you so much mom!" The other day when I picked her up from nursery she ran up to me, hugged my leg really big and said, "I missed you to death!". Melt my heart!!

There you have it, pictures and what my little princess is up to in not so much of a nutshell!

  1. She is such a sweet little angel!! Give her hugs from us. I love to hear what she's up to and see that she is on the same page as Cody with the way they play, sing songs, and read books.

  3. LOL... just read Laci's comment and couldn't agree more. I laughed so many times thinking how Paisyn does these same things. I think it's a girl thing :) Kylee is so sweet and beautiful. We need to get these girls together to play soon.
