December 11th: Angel Tree

Each year since we've been married (that would be 3), Ben and I have gone to Macy's and picked at least one angel off the Angel Tree. To me there's nothing like serving someone else. Last year I got to the tree and couldn't pick just one, so I ended up picking 6. This year, however, we decided to start a new way of doing it where each of our kids picks one angel their age and gets to go shopping for them. The Angel we picked for Ky was a little boy just younger than her. It's nice because they tell you their gender, age, clothing and shoe size, a few things they need, and a few things they want.

We got our little guy a play gym, diapers, wipes, and some clothes. I know it will be just perfect!

We went to take the gifts to Macy's on Friday and it was so hard for me to not go and pick more names. The tree was still so full and it was the day all the gifts were supposto be back. I'm so glad we were able to give Christmas to our little Angel and would like to encourage everyone to take the opportunity to do the same. It doesn't cost much and I know it makes the world of difference to these little children and their families. I think the tree is still there so if you can, please go pick a name, or 6! Ü
